We will be holding a two-day symposium to wrap up our summer Gansey Exhibition - anyone with an interest in knitting and /or traditional fishing culture should find it most interesting. The program details are shown below but in short it will be a happy social gathering where you can hear from experts in various fields associated with the exhibition and of course meet like-minded people.
Although it's called a 'two day' event, it actually starts on Friday evening (September 29) with a social gathering at the museum where you have a private view the exhibition and chat with our organising team over a glass of fizz and some finger food.
The progam for the Saturday and Sunday is laid out below; as you will see, it is broad-ranging in content.
You can attend on the Saturday (Sept 30), the Sunday (Oct 1) or both days. Whatever your choice, you are invited to the Friday evening introduction, of course
