• get creative with one of our colouring sheets
• take part in one of our special activities for kids and families every Thursday afternoon during the school summer holidays.
Summer Holiday 2015: Learn how to knit a first world war bandage in association with our temporary exhibition. Activity is free with normal admission every Thursday in August from 2pm.
We are working on a series of screen-based journeys through our photographic archive for your enjoyment. The Hewitt collection shows us a glimpse of the lifestyle of the more privileged a century ago, but we have many images of fishing and lifeboat activities, town architecture, social events, etc. to include in future productions.
Take a virtual tour
To get an idea of what we have for you to see in the museum, why not take a virtual 3-D tour of the ground floor. Use your mouse to take you around; click on a part of the floor where you might like to stand, then drag the picturer left or right to see what's around you. Better still, let your children experiment with it! Then come and see the real thing - we have a lot more to show and tell! Click HERE to start.
